Donations

Tax deductible donations are particularly welcome for the endowment of the Daniel G. Blum Memorial Lecture, established to honor one of the founders of the Society. The lecture is delivered every November at the annual dinner. Donors may also choose to contribute to the on-going operations of the society as a sponsor at the $100 level or higher. Donors at the $100 level or higher are listed in the annual dinner program. SJSW is a registered 501(c)(3) organization.

Greg Clingham, Visiting Research Professor, Pennsylvania State University Humanities Institute, and Professor Emeritus Bucknell University, will present the twenty-ninth Daniel G. Blum Lecture at the annual meeting 24 November 2024.  Prof. Clingham is the author of Johnson, Writing and Memory and editor of The New Cambridge Companion to Samuel Johnson.  At Bucknell University, Prof. Clingham held the John P. Crozer Chair of English Literature and served as the director of Bucknell University Press.
